Hey Charlotte, love your bathroom!! We are having a claw bath likes yours installed and I would love to have wood panelling and a wood floor but I am worried about splashes on the wood especially if we havea family in the future. Everyone has warned me not to go with wood! Have you sealed the walls and floor in special waterproof paint/stain? Any advice would be appreciated!

      Hi-

Thank you, thank you! We love it too. My husband says that the paint we used made the wood water resistant. We try to be really cautious, only stepping on to the floor mat with wet feet, etc. The hardwood floor was actually under the linoleum and we refinished it ourselves. We figure if it has been there for 50 years or so, we probably can’t hurt it too much! I am glad that we made the choices we did. It is such a space of refuge and relaxation- exactly what I was hoping for!

I hope this info helps you! The best thing to do is to become friends with your paint store employees! They helped us a whole lot.
