Last week, I traveled to New Orleans to go the National College Media Convention with six students. Between sessions, we got to explore the French Quarter. Here are some of the highlights: New Orleans is a city for all the senses. There aren’t just pretty things to see and taste, but always music to hear. I tried to order local favorites when it was possible: jambalaya, shrimp and grits, and gumbo. I also had this delish lunch from a place called the Lucky Rooster:
The most exciting part of the trip was that the 2012 Talisman won a Pacemaker award. I would love to visit again and explore the city more.
